RAID Troubles on March 2, 2009

Dear JoomlaServices.ca Clients,

On March 2 in the late afternoon one of our redundant drive arrays failed. The built-in redundancy which was meant to avoid any interuption of service in case of a drive failure did not function properly and began causing the server to lose access to all client data. We repaired the array within a few hours and it was restored to its original redundant state. Please note that at all times there were backups of all your data available in case of catastrophic drive failure.

Subsequent to the RAID problem and the server reboot there was an issue with the server's time which caused some license issues. The time was restored the the license issues were resolved.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
